The case involved providing business solutions for Rainbow Farms, a fictitious upscale grocer facing challenges in adapting to trends in the grocery industry. These trends include the rise of meal kit services, superior technology and personalized shopping experiences.
During the challenge, students work in teams to research and analyze a publicly traded company—Nike, in this case—and then create a research report with a buy, sell or hold recommendation.
The staff support is hands down one of the best things about the The Portland MBA, prior to being accepted as well as after becoming enrolled. The opportunities to travel abroad were a key factor for me as well.
And it’s corny but true that the students in the Master of Taxation program inspire me. They are amazing — graduating in one year, working full time, being a parent and studying for CPA exams. Some even go through this program with a new baby or a toddler.
