A shared experience: Ethics and professionalism in the PSU School of Business
In fall 2019, the Graduate Business Programs student services team released new documents outlining shared community expectations around professionalism, leadership and ethics. Current GBP candidates Alex Box, Ariella Frishberg, and Jose Bracho Zabala are part of a student-led team charged with gathering their peersโ feedback in order to revise these documents and discover how program leadership can better incorporate these values into the student experience.
Too risky to fail? Why leaders must embrace accountability
If future leaders are going to redefine business, they must prioritize ethical decision-making, appreciate financial risk, but respect consumer safety more. They must value trust and understand that it canโt be commodified. Moving forward, leaders must have the humility to know when theyโve failed, and the courage to admit responsibility when they do. Those are the risks worth taking.
