“Systems thinking is a tool that is used to understand the root causes, symptoms and factors that hold the status quo in its place,” said Abby Chroman, program manager of social innovation and entrepreneurship at PSU and part of the Map the System planning team. “The Map the System competition is skill-building for students to be changemakers.”
In a year where networking and extra curricular activities are limited, the 2021 ACG Cup is more valuable than ever. Competitions such as the ACG Cup offer students a unique and valuable opportunity to simulate real-world business situations and engage in real-world dilemmas in a constructive environment.
The School of Business at Portland State University recently celebrated a second-place finish in the Portland CFA Institute Research Challenge and advancement to the semifinals at the ACG Cup Northwest.
