The School of Business to Open Career Center May 25th

Students and alumni in The School of Business at Portland State University will have a new place to turn for help in launching or furthering their careers when the new Career Center opens next Wednesday, May 25.

The new center, located in suite 410 inside the Karl Miller Center, will provide virtual and in-person services catered specifically to PSU’s business students of all levels based on where they are in their developmental journey.

Becky Sanchez, Executive Director of Career & Academic Services, met with faculty directors, staff, students, the Graduate Business Alumni Council and local employers, and has spent the last year creating the useful career services that students and alumni need and local employers expect. 

When the center opens, all business students and alumni will have access to monthly workshops, mock interviews, networking opportunities, employer panels, AI resume building software, professional headshots, and a plethora of other information.

The grand opening celebration will be on May 25 from 4 to 6 p.m. Dean Cliff Allen will speak about the services the center will provide, while staff members will hand out information sheets for students, alumni and business owners on how they can utilize the center’s services. RSVP here.
