Here are seven Black and POC-owned coffee shops to support now — order takeout, buy beans or pick up gift cards to use later. Soon we will be able to come together over hot cups of coffee to share ideas and take action to redefine business and transform lives.
The celebration and support of diversity, equity and inclusion at Portland State and The School of Business drew me to this role, and that culture continues to be one of the best parts of working in this community. As a queer woman, it was important for me to find affinity and support the voices of my community at The School of Business.
On June 14, 2020, The School of Business held its first remote commencement. The ceremony served to celebrate the outstanding achievements of over 200 students and to empower these new graduates to serve as leaders during this unmatched period of economic and social disruption.
Blockchain has the potential to be a disruptive force, with implications for almost every corner of every business market out there. Healthcare, in particular, can be transformed under a blockchain model. And there are glimmers of hope in Portland’s startup scene, where companies focused on bringing blockchain to healthcare are beginning to make an entrance — a big one.
