I developed strong relationships with the mentors I was matched with as part of this program. I learned a lot about how I prioritize and what mistakes I may be making in my career that I could not see because I am so involved personally.
“Engaging with analytics is a great way to embrace new trends in HR,” says Loo. “My time at The School of Business reinforced the importance of using robust information to make decisions and creatively incorporate data to serve businesses in new ways.”
Throughout her career, Alexis has kept tabs on trends in the investment management world. Soon after starting the Master of Finance, she came across a story about the increasing popularity of impact investing at universities. This gave her an idea for the topic of her Graduate Capstone Project: how The School of Business could start an impact investing the fund.
“I am excited to have a career where I can help individuals and businesses make the best financial decision for them,” Xuan Hoffman says. “Whether it’s providing the right loan, consulting with a business owner or advising an individual on their savings and investments, I want to give others the ability to spend their energy on the people and experiences that matter.”
