Throughout her career, Alexis has kept tabs on trends in the investment management world. Soon after starting the Master of Finance, she came across a story about the increasing popularity of impact investing at universities. This gave her an idea for the topic of her Graduate Capstone Project: how The School of Business could start an impact investing the fund.
“I am excited to have a career where I can help individuals and businesses make the best financial decision for them,” Xuan Hoffman says. “Whether it’s providing the right loan, consulting with a business owner or advising an individual on their savings and investments, I want to give others the ability to spend their energy on the people and experiences that matter.”
Pedro Colon-Amador’s success lies in his ability to visualize a challenge from different perspectives — especially those that go against the grain.
“There’s always so much to learn from others,” Tevin Connor says. “This program opened my eyes to fields I had no interaction with before. It’s okay if you don’t know exactly what you’d like to do at first. What matters is that you’re willing to learn.”
